We live in a world saturated with music and so much of it is filled with negative messages that are the opposite of one who God is and what He has given us. This is not to say that all music is bad or that music is not specifically Christian cannot honor God but Christian music in particular seeks to bring glory to God through the lyrics and message.
Here is CCM’s Top 10 Christian Songs that Inspires You
Unspoken – Who You Are
In their 2012 hit song “Who You Are”, Christian soulful pop-rock band Unspoken bears witness to the reviving power of God, specifically through the example and teachings of Jesus. It’s never “too late” to turn our life around, and things are never “so bad” that we can’t start giving ourselves to God; each moment of your life is an opportunity to “change who you are.”
Thomas Obadiah Chisolm – Great is Thy Faithfulness
This great hymn of faith was published from a poem in 1923. Although it is not clearly documented, I am always reminded of Lamentations 3:22-23 whenever I hear the song. They are: “It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.” Of course this hymn was made popular by the voice of George Beverly Shea in 1945 when he began singing it at the Billy Graham crusades.
TobyMac – Made to Love
One of the first, and most well-known Christian hip-hop artists, TobyMac, sings about how we were all created out of love and that we were “made” to show our love back to our Creator. A 2008 Grammy nominee for Best Gospel Song, “Made to Love” will definitely stir your soul and have you reflecting on life.
Britt Nicole – Set the World on Fire
Christian singer-songwriter and pop-artist Britt Nicole expresses her desire to God to make a positive difference in the world. Acknowledging that truly achieving her dream of setting “the world on fire” is impossible without the assistance of the Almighty, Nicole sings in her song, “I am weak but…You are strong enough to take my dreams, come and give them wings. Lord with You, there’s nothing I can not do.”
Brandon Heath – Give Me Your Eyes
In his Grammy nominated song “Give Me Your Eyes”, Contemporary Christian musician Brandon Heath yearns to be able to see the world through the eyes of God. The song is a testament to the need for human beings to turn to the teachings of God, rather than solely relying on the conditioning of society, to see the true reality of the world. The song also speaks to the need for us to display compassion and empathy to others, as, unlike God, we don’t truly know what they’re going through in life. As Heath sings in the song, “Give me Your eyes for just one second, give me Your eyes so I can see, everything that I keep missing, give me Your love for humanity.”
Hillsong– Mighty To Save
Sometimes it's easy to forget how much bigger and stronger God is than any problem. Strong enough to move mountains.

Contemporary Christian singer-songwriter and actress Jamie Grace emphasizes a variety of spiritual concepts in her upbeat pop hit “Beautiful Day”. In a song that will have you smiling, grooving, and praising God all at the same time, Grace’s pleasing melodies and joyful lyrics will certainly lift your spirits and have you ready to “get your worship on.”
Mandisa – Overcomer
